There are roughly the following problems with manual gearboxes: 1. There are abnormal noises, which are generally caused by damage to the bearings in the gearbox. As for the gears that cannot be answered, abnormal noises may occur. In this case, you can use stepping 、Release the clutch to judge. If there is abnormal noise when the neutral gear is started, the sound of depressing the clutch pedal (depressing to the end) will disappear. If the clutch pedal is released again, the sound of the gearbox bearing (especially a shaft bearing) will disappear; 2. A certain gear is not smoothly entered or cannot enter at all, and the first gear is not good enough to enter the second gear to enter the first gear, the third gear is not good enough to enter the fourth gear to enter the third gear, this This situation is generally caused by a problem with the synchronizer in the gearbox (especially the synchronizer ring), and it is also possible that the gear selection fork position is not accurate and it is not easy to enter the gear; 3. It is easy to skip gears, especially in low-speed gears. Always refueling and driving without skipping gears and skipping gears as soon as the accelerator is released. This problem is usually caused by the synchronizer, and some are caused by the inaccurate position of the shift fork; 4. It is the oil leakage that is easy to find. Generally, there are gaskets and oil seals. problem. In short, the gearbox is not easy to go wrong, especially the gearbox of a car. If there is a problem, it is only in the repair shop. The above are my personal opinions. Please correct me if you are wrong, for reference only.
1. Check all forward gears and reverse gears. If the weather is relatively cold, the low-speed gears are slightly worn when the low gear is engaged, which is caused by insufficient heat of the transmission fluid, which belongs to the normal range. If you grind gears every time you shift gears, the hydraulic system of the clutch or the transmission itself may be faulty.
2. Check whether it can be entered normally. If it is found that the transmission cannot be properly engaged in gears, or there is a sound of gear clashing; or it is difficult to push back to neutral after the gear is engaged, it means that the transmission is difficult to shift. If it is loose and can swing freely, it may be caused by the failure of the positioning pin. If it is difficult to shift gears even when it is not loose, it is likely that the synchronizer failure caused the shock during gear shifting. If such failures exist, they need to be disassembled and eliminated in a repair shop.
Third, the transmission may also appear "chaotic gear" phenomenon. If the shift lever cannot be engaged in the required gear position when the vehicle is starting, or the phenomenon cannot be returned to neutral after being engaged. This shows that the operating mechanism of the transmission is faulty. It may be caused by excessive wear of the gear lever ball head and loss of effective control ability. If the position of the gear lever is slightly wrong, it will be put into other gears. It may be caused by serious wear on the lower end of the gear lever. Such failures also need to be sent. Repair shop.
4. If the gear lever jumps back to neutral during driving, it may be that the gear and gear sleeve are seriously worn, causing the bearing to be loose or the axial clearance is too large. This requires professional maintenance personnel to remove the transmission to check the meshing condition of the gears. If oil leakage is found in the transmission, it is also abnormal. It may be caused by poor sealing of the sealing gasket; or the oil seal of the transmission output shaft is damaged. At the same time, too much lubricating oil or unobstructed vent holes can also cause oil leakage.
5. If the transmission is in the neutral position when the engine is idling, but there is abnormal noise, it may be that the coaxiality of the crankshaft and the first shaft of the transmission is deviated. This situation can disappear when the clutch pedal is depressed. If there is abnormal noise after entering the gear, it may be caused by an impact when the meshing gears are working, indicating that the transmission housing is damaged, or part of the gears is damaged, causing the impact during the meshing process.
